Welcome to all fellow millennials. We're all aging, so I'm not really subscribing to the "elder millennials," "young millennials," bla bla bla terminologies. We're all millennials. We were all going through pivotal coming-of-age moments during the turn of the millennium. We have a shared bond of both trauma and joy. We danced all night in our business casual chic and watched our chance at ever owning a home fly out the window. It's a weird dichotomy that we're still trying to figure out how to handle, but that's what makes us so funny. Millennial humor is both dark and campy. It scratches that need for freedom, because to be cringe is to be free. We were the generation that invented memes, and we are still the generation keeping them funny. So let's fall back into our inner-teens and meme about it. Heck, are they even inner teens, or are we just teens pretending to be adults? What even is "adulting" (yes, I know, cringe)? Like, I'm closer to 40 than 30, and yet I feel closer to 15 than 25… Truly, going to need to meme about this feeling ASAP.

I used to think 30-something-year-olds were the oldest people ever. Even in my early 20s, I thought that! Isn't that wild to think now? Now that I'm 30… something, I see a 23-year-old and wonder where their mom is. Like, who let that child out without a chaperone? I got hit on by a 21-year-old the other day. I'm talking like I'm 65 over here, sorry about that. I love the Gen-Z crowd! They say the blunt thing I'm thinking in my head out loud. I wish I had that kind of talent. Instead, I keep it in my head and meme about it later. I'm glad the Gen-Z are entering my workforce. They aren't taking any bs from money-hungry companies that don't actually care about the humans behind it all. Yes, bestie! Please, put them in check! I'm too scared. I've lived through too many traumatic/historical events. I'm exhausted. You do the screaming and I'll be behind you like, “yeah, what they just said!” And then we can exchange memes about it later. We're both a funny generation.
