There's no greater joy than a dog running at you in full force, tail wagging like windshield wipers in a storm, coming over just to give you lots of love.

We can always remember times we were extremely happy. These times when joy just bursts through our hearts, as if it can't be contained. A lot of these memories involve our dog. Having a dog is like raising a bundle of joy on four legs, and it shows in the happiest memories we have. We're sure other dog pawrents share this sentiment, because dogs spread happiness wherever they go - so if you have a dog, you're practically next to a joy beacon every day. And that's sure to make anyone happy.

There's one particular memory that always pops into our mind when we try to fish for an answer to "what's one of the happiest memories you have?", and obviously, it's all about our dog. It was after we'd been away for so long, trekking for months in a foreign part of the world. Our dog took it hard, but we swear - there was no greater happiness in him in the moment he realized we're back home. When he smelled us from outside (seriously, dogs' sense of smell is amazing), he ran down so fast he startled the cats, and when we entered, his tail was wagging so hard he broke a vase. A lot of joyous tears were shed there.

We think anyone should experience the joy of raising a dog, because it's really one of the happiest things a person can experience. So if by any chance you've found yourself here but you don't have a dog of your own - see this as the sign you were waiting for. Go to the nearest shelter and adopt a friend for life. All the happiness will follow. Both for you, but also for the adopted dog. It's happiness all around.

All dogs are good boys. It doesn't matter if they did something they shouldn't (because they should be allowed on the couch, Karen), because dogs always are, and always will be good boys.
The only instance that we can think of where dogs are not good boys (shocking, we know!)… is if they're actually a very good girl. The goodest girl.
