Moose (tabby, TNR'ed by us) is at home here. About two months ago he brought home a little black void friend. Baby was skittish but so hungry that we were able to get close and lightly pet while feeding.

We named her Betty ("whoa black Betty" reference") and started to feed her with him regularly. A couple weeks go by and I finally get close enough to check and sure enough... Betty is a boy. Betty is now Eddie and is here to stay too.

missym59 It's just so cute and you've become the cat "Kool-aid" house!

sweetserendipity1237 OP This is coming from the same cat (Moose) who literally chased off all the other little neighborhood cuties. He doesn't let anyone in our backyard. Imagine our surprise when he strolls in with this lil cutie AND shared his breakfast off the bat.

Reason_Training Looks like you have an uncle cat. There are older male neutered cats that will adopt young cats to look after and teach them how to cat. One of my oldest cats, Taylor has played uncle to several kittens and young cats in my household. It is adorable.

sweetserendipity1237 OP That would make sense! Eddie is definitely younger, I would put him around 8 months or so. Moose is about a year and a half, maybe closer to 2 years old. We figure he still hangs with his community buddies and this one was "just right" to bring home to the sweet spot where he gets consistent meals and clean water available all day. It's really not much more expensive to feed two mouths.

igot_thefunk Will Eddie be able to be TNRd at some point as well? You have a lovely family of not your cats.

sweetserendipity1237 OP Eddie is fixed! He's got an ear tip and a deflated which is why it was so hard to figure out for us at first lol

tourettebarbie They're adorable I fully anticipate that more furry friends will arrive as word spreads within the CDS. Its simply binary multiplication - 1 becomes 2, 2 becomes 4, 4 becomes 8, 8 becomes 16......

If I were you, I'd stock up on supplies & invest in an insulated cat hutch (hotel) now in anticipation of the inevitable arrival of the cat gang.

sweetserendipity1237 OP Right now they share the outdoor house that we bought for moose. It's big enough for two, insulated, and has a removable heating pad for the colder months.
