'Cats Are Liquid': 25 Flexible Felines Melting Into Bowls, Boxes, and Impossible Spaces

How do they do that? It's honestly amazing. At this point, the theory of cats being liquid doesn't feel like a theory anymore. Every cat owner has witnessed this fact in their own home.

Your cat can look like a normal solid creature with bones, paws, and whiskers. But all of a sudden, they are turning liquid form. They do it whenever they please. They can melt into bowls, fold into a sink, pour themselves into a cardboard box, and somehow fit in any place that looks physically impossible.

Nobody knows exactly how they do it. Cats look at a container and decide that the laws of physics are just optional. If there is a box, they can become box-shaped. If there is a bowl, they can become soup. They squeeze into the smallest containers with admirable confidence. The goal is not comfort. The goal is fitting, and they always manage to fit.

It's impressive. Cats can stretch, curl, fold, melt, and spill themselves over furniture, and stay in positions that would send any human to a chiropractor. They can occupy a whole couch if they want to, and they can also squeeze themselves into the smallest basket in your house, as if they have unlocked a new secret body form.

These cat photos are proof that felines may not be fully solid after all. Cats stay loyal to the phrase "If I fits, I sits", and we will continue accepting it as perfectly normal cat behavior.

A cat doesn't need a luxury bed or the coziest spot in your living room. Give them a box, a bag, a sink, a bowl, or any container, and they will turn it into property. They don't second-guess.
