Am I the jerk for taking back the birthday cake I brought to my sister's party?

I want to preface this by saying that the woman’s refusal to tell her guests her sister had baked her birthday cake is, in my opinion, extremely childish and strange. Maybe she was turning fourteen? lol. Of course she had told her not to bring anything, but still that’s no excuse. I mean, if you have to create an entire lie not to say your sister baked a cake, there’s probably something way off in that relationship. I get it, you can feel that your sister always takes the spotlight away from you, but let’s be real, it’s your birthday; how much can it hurt your ego that your sister gets a few compliments for baking the cake while the rest of the party is all about you?

This is where it gets complicated: taking the cake away was petty, so now all her arguments are going to be shadowed by that action, although I think she was in the right to reveal she had baked it. If she had been impeccable with that, now the only petty one would be the birthday sister. In the end, they ended up leveling the playing field, and they both won the Pettiest Sister of the Year Award.
