So we have had some interesting ideas already, and some conflicting ones which I would quickly like to address. Now the pawrent who posits that new and different food should be avoided due to potential stomach upsets is right to a certain point. Unlike the other pawrents who are all too happy to spoil their kids with tasty treats like boiled chicken, this pawrent knows that their cat can be quite particular and that anything new might upset her delicate stomach. But that is no fun for anyone. So I would suggest giving your cat something special that they have had before but do not get to enjoy all too often. Kinda like this canned pate cake.

Ok now this is one genius level pawrenting. Everyone else so far has pretty much assumed that new toys and food are the only ways to truly celebrate a cat child’s birthday. But the truth is that enrichment is one of the best ways to actually pamper your pet. Get their brain engaged in something that blows their tiny little minds. They will be far more grateful for such an experience rather than another ball or feather toy. And you can always give you cat child a tasty and extravagant meal after they have gotten to enjoy their play time.
