Pit Bull puppy dumped by pilates studio rescued by dog lover who immediately fell in love, but soon discovered deep trauma they’d have to overcome together: ‘We do a lot of training and have so much fun, he is truly my little bestie and my baby.’

The variety of creatively cruel ways that doggos are dumped is truly baffling, and in this story we learn about the life of a pup who was dumped outside a pilates studio, with but a piece of string holding him to a pole to his name.

Much to our chagrin Reddit's r/pitbulls subreddit is full of stories telling the tales of dumped doggos like this one. Though often the dogs are left to roam freely, at most being abandoned with a few belongings. This way if the worst were to happen and the dog needed to flee from danger they could, but the pup in our story sadly would not have had that opportunity as it was found with a shoelace secured around its neck and attached on the other end to a pole. Essentially leaving the doggo to perish. But the dumper did not account for the fact that someone might save the pupper before it met its demise, leaving the door open for our dog loving rescuer to step in and save the day.

While things looked all well and dandy initially after the rescue and check ups, soon a new problem was making itself known, the dumped dog had serious separation anxiety and fear issues. Which is after all rather to be expected considering the kind of life it probably had before meeting its furever mom. But being the loving pawson she is, his mother set about working with him to overcome his fears and learn to live a life of love and laughs. Proving once again that it is the time and effort that you invest in a doggo that will ultimately dictate their happiness in life and subsequently your own.

  • Well, this is certainly an interesting tale of doggo rescue so far. It is not often that you might find a dog tied by shoelace of all things, let alone to then come face to face with the sad hooman who did the tying of the shoelace. You can only imagine how hard things must have been for this dumper to do what they did. Nonetheless, it is clear that with the boundless amounts of love this pre-med student has to give her new pup, the doggo will be capable of great pawisitve change.

  • Honestly, we have to give it up for this pawrent. She has done what so few will ever do, and that is be open and honest about the testing trials and tribulations of their pupper. Some pawrents are simply too blind to see their dog having a tough time, while others are too embarrassed to share. But the truth is that rescue doggos no matter how they come to us, will always have something they need to work through. And while being afraid of the world is a pretty bad and deep fear to hold, at least there is a chance that with this pupper’s love of other doggos he will begin to follow their lead.
