Watch Out Joe Rogan: Viral TikTok Trend Has Women Using the "Male Version" Filter to Mock Sexist Podcast Hosts

Male podcast hosts are getting ragged on in this new viral trend on TikTok. The trend started with the “male version” filter that adds “masculine” features to the user with bushier eyebrows, brighter eyes, a septum piercing, and a beard. The filter first started going viral when users started saying if you don't like the male version of yourself, you need to humble yourself. However, TikTok user @sadimmigrantkid tried it out and was not about to lower her standards. She immediately related her look to the kind of man who would start a podcast just to talk down to women.

TikTok women everywhere have found this trend to be absolutely hilarious, but also extremely validating. Women mock men as if they're on a podcast talking about what the “alpha male” is and how women are “inferior." Hopefully, these types of misogynistic podcast hosts will see these viral videos and start to re-evaluate themselves.

These women are truly capturing the types of conversation notoriously womanizing podcasters have. Podcast hosts like Joe Rogan, Myron Gaines, Walter Weekes, and many others are constantly in the hot seat about how they talk to/about women.

Viewers say in the comment section that they hope this trend never ends and will open the eyes of male podcasters to a more feminist mindset.

This TikTok trend is hilarious to the women who understand and, hopefully, enlightening to the podcasters they're making fun of. However, it's also a frustrating reality to be presented with—that there are enough of these types of podcasts perpetuating a sexist mentality to create a viral trend on TikTok.
