This sort of pettiness is something only siblings can understand, and I think one has to dabble in this type of silly revenge from time to time when it comes to brothers and sisters. The mature thing would've been to deny feeding the cat or to confront her about the pricey shower somehow, but the $20 resolution kinda cracks me up. What would you have done?

  • What the sister is saying makes no sense; a shower costs way less than a cat sitter. If you think about it, cat-sitting jobs really do exist, and there are people who make a living from them, but selling showers, well… She obviously doesn’t have the money to pay someone else to do it, and she was also trying to take advantage of her brother because she needed money the day of the shower incident. I kinda loved that his way of saying no to feeding her cat was to charge her; she was going to decline the offer. Obviously, she felt ashamed also, probably, and he won’t even have to feed the cat, so, to me, this is a win-win situation. If the mother wants to step in and help, so be it; everything else was already said and done.
