'Just shave it off bro': 24 Haircut fails to stop you from grabbing the kitchen scissors

• There are bad haircuts... and then there are haircuts that make you question every decision that led you to sitting in that salon chair. Somewhere between "just a trim" and "I trusted a TikTok tutorial a little too much," disaster strikes. Suddenly, your reflection looks like it belongs to someone who lost a bet, and you're frantically Googling, "How fast does hair actually grow?"

  I firmly believe everyone has at least one haircut horror story. If you say you don't, I'm convinced you're either incredibly lucky or blocking out a traumatic memory. Maybe you walked into the salon with a crystal-clear vision and walked out looking like a medieval pageboy. Maybe you got a little too confident with the kitchen scissors at 11 p.m. after watching one suspiciously convincing video. Or maybe you heard the dreaded phrase, "Oops," from the person holding the clippers. If that last one has happened to you... I'm so sorry; we all have been there.

• The cruel thing about haircuts is that there's no undo button; how cool would it be to hit Ctrl+Z on a surprise bowl cut? You can't politely ask your bangs to scoot back an inch. Once those locks hit the floor, you're committed to the bit whether you like it or not. That's why every single haircut feels like an act of blind faith; you're essentially handing another human being permission to alter your appearance for the next several months and hoping they're having a good day.

  The only thing that makes a haircut fail survivable is knowing you're not the only one. Somewhere out there, someone accidentally asked for layers and left looking like they lost an argument with a lawn mower. Someone else requested curtain bangs and somehow received... curtains. Entire curtains. But if I had to choose a time in history where hideous haircuts were being made, then without a doubt I'd have to say quarantine; the amount of victims that fell off  TikTok tutorials. Oh man, it was a bad hair epidemic. And who can blame us? I don't know who gave us the confidence to believe we could pull off a wolf cut with kitchen scissors, but let's just say lessons were learnt. A lesson that made you wear a cap for several weeks.
