Think about what you felt like a couple of months ago. Try to remember. There was a time in the world when it was actually cold outside. We were walking around, layers and layers of clothes on our bodies, daydreaming about summer. About heat. About the sun. And you know what? We're still doing it! It's summer. It might be one of the hottest summers we have ever had. When we're walking around outside, we actually remember that, but when we're inside, literally anywhere - work, stores, the movies, everywhere - it's basically winter. Because everyone is overcompensating like crazy with the AC. And the only thing still keeping us warm is the same thing that keeps us warm in the winter - cute and heartwarming animal memes.

We cannot believe we have had to resort to this method in the middle of summer. Looking at cute animals is what we do when we are outside and it is freezing, when we have no escape from the cold. Not during summer. During summer, cute animal memes and pictures are supposed to serve a different purpose- they are supposed to distract us from the heat and keep us from melting. But no, here we are, sitting in the office, after begging our co-workers to turn down the AC and being told to bring another jacket even though we are one second away from losing a finger to frostbite, scrolling through animal memes in the hopes that they will warm our souls and heat us from the inside out. Sigh. At least these animals really are cute and worth looking at. And winter is not that far from coming back anymore, right? Right?

This is somehow worse than having a cat sit in your lap. We face this dilemma with them every day. But if it happens every day, then it's also easier to get out of. We would be stuck here with this cow until the end of time.
