Senior cat spotted being thrown from car by cat pawrent who gave her safe home with cat siblings, but when things sour between them a difficult decision must be made: ‘It breaks our hearts to ask for this, but I committed to doing the best I can for her.’

The myriad of ways in which our feline friends are gotten rid off seems to have no end and yet endless creativity with the latest cat to catch a case of homelessness finding their way to the streets via a parking lot push out of the car. Thankfully, they were not without a home as there was a loving cat pawrent on the scene who saw the whole thing go do.

Cats really do get the short end of the stick far more than they deserve to. What have they ever done to use hoomans that we did not have coming to us? Sure, some people end up with scratches, litter box contents strewn across the floor and 3 am wake up calls that start to seep into their nightmares. But these acts of revenge are just that, responses to things that hoomans have done to them. So it really grinds our gears when we hear about a cat being thrown out of their home for no good reason like in this story.

But as is often said every wrong has a right and this wrong had a right waiting right there in the very same parking lot watching the whole harrowing event happen in real time. Of course this pawrent could not just sit around and let a cat child crawl into the undergrowth to fend for themselves, and so she stepped in to bring the kitty home to rest and recover. But as time went on, things turned sour between the newcomer and one of the incumbent cat children causing quite the conundrum…

Oh goodness it is more than enough to make you cry, heck we are crying over this touching moment. For a scared cat who is obviously just a love machine who has never known of the outside world being dumped like that and immediately trusting someone is simply unheard of. Even in hooman terms we can understand that after being burned you do not return to the same person or type of person. So why should a sweet and scared catto put their trust in yet another hooman who might dump them? Because they knew that this hooman was different.

What a wonderful way to start a new life in a home. Even if it might only prove to be temporary it is still wonderful that this catto has her own private hiding place complete with litter box. It is so important to give a new cat a sense of belonging and respect for space. They need to know that they are in a place that is safe for them under their own protection. It is never enough to live solely under your protection. After all, who will protect them from you if you ever turn on them….?
