'Acting like an unhinged little creature': Random memes to let out your wild side

Does anybody know how to behave properly anymore?

It has long been hypothesized by some that, following the events of 2020 and the transition towards living more of life online, people have forgotten what it means to exist in polite society. They go outside and act like it is their first day on Earth, and their cluelessness only brings issues for everyone around them. As a legend once said, they have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tires on.

We may not always like to say it out loud, but it is probably true: the combination of going outside less and living through our phones more probably has had some knock-on negative effects on us as a society. On the one hand, people may be more disorderly; on the other, they could be scared to exist as they want to for fear of facing some kind of viral judgment from a random stranger.

It's wild, really, if you think about how much we can seemingly be divided while also communally relating to the sentiments that are often found in memes. Much of what gets turned into internet humor is the kind of stuff that a large chunk of the population can find themselves nodding their head in agreement with, and even if they don't, they can probably understand the sentiment. Memes have become our unofficial way of letting off steam, which is less intimidating than figuring out how to position ourselves in public to do the very same thing. Their dumb entertainment is here to tell us that even when things are bad, there is going to be something to laugh about.
