It's never a good idea to be petty after the fact. It's a good idea to let someone know how you feel in the moment, but at a certain point you just have to let things go. If you ever find yourself sending an email just to make someone feel bad, then you've gone down a bad path. That didn't stop this company from chasing down a potential employee who exercised his right to choose whatever job he liked.
