Dogs end up being the focal center point of so many significant life events in this world that it is quite surprising that they have not had enough of our dilly dallying and taken control themselves. Often finding themselves as the lynch pin of broken families, home situations that cannot care for a canine and others. But it seems that even with all that pressure we inadvertently place on their shoulders, they can still be heroes to hoomans and puppers alike.

So, yeah, you might be wondering why does it matter that a dog ends up being placed in the middle of so many problematic hooman events, and we will tell you. Because just like hooman children, our puppers pick up everything that is going on around them. They know when they are being spoken about and they understand the tones being used. Meaning they know what is going to happen to them before it actually does. So with that in mind the idea that this story's pupper had the courage and strength to try and save his injured sister after they were both dumped by the roadside it totally unreal. Even though they knew they were going to be abandoned, even though they must have felt horrible about their lives, this dog had it in him to still be a hero.

A quality which his foster momma quickly picked up on and deeply adored in the doggo. But that is when our story takes another turn for the unfortunate. For someone wanted to adopt this sweet, special doggo, not to anyone's surprise. But what was surprising was his foster momma's reaction to handing him over to his furever home. Something felt distinctly different about this time as opposed to the many times she had handed over doggos. Something was telling her that she had made a mistake.

Well, that is quite the origin story to have right there. Heroically attempting to save the life of a fellow fallen pupper is truly worthy of a name like Orpheus. You see Orpheous is said to have travelled into the depths of the underworld all in the hopes of freeing his wife who was taken down there. His mission was dangerous, challenging and had no clear path to success. But love guided him and helped him hold true and not fall into temptation along the way. So yeah, it would be pretty fitting to give this heroic pup a name like that, though Neo could also work…

Oh goodness, see, this is the difficulty in fostering. It is so hard to tell when you have fully fallen for a pupper and actually want to stay with them furever, or whether it is just a case of having overwhelming feelings for a new pup in your home. But by the sounds of this case a terrible mistake has been made, made out of love and wanting the best for the pup but still a mistake nonetheless. Thankfully, as it happens with some mistakes, this one was reversible. And a situation which looked to yield zero second chances suddenly came back around with one heck of an opportunity.
