Entitled neighbor with an artist complex trespasses on private property, leaves her trashy sculpture in someone else's lawn, and gets offended when the house owner throws it away

Private property is private property; no one has the right to decide over someone else's house.

Eccentric people are everywhere, and they are mostly fun and interesting to have around. They make our days more entertaining. But sometimes they can go overboard and not realize that they are being disrespectful towards others. Artists in general can be quite unique and eccentric, but that doesn't automatically make them overbearing or impolite. No, being impolite is a quality that goes with the person, not the occupation. However, sadly, some artists (or self-proclaimed artists) can be inconsiderate of the people around them, stigmatizing all artists and making them sound like bad people. And that's what happened in this case.

A Reddit user going by u/SecretaryOne1865 shared that her artist neighbor was really inconsiderate. The woman calls herself an artist and makes sculptures out of trash. For recycling purposes, that's great, but that's not the point of the story. The self-proclaimed artist asked a neighbor if she could put one of her sculptures in her lawn to display it, but the owner of the house said no. The artist apparently didn't understand or didn't care, because the next day, the neighbor found one of her sculptures standing in the middle of her lawn. And it wasn't a nice one. The thing looked like a monster, and it was scaring her kids. She asked the artist to take it out, or she would throw it away. The woman said no, that it was embellishing the neighborhood and that it was for the public. Since the lawn wasn't public, the owner did as she promised and put the sculpture in the trash. The artist was terribly offended and talked about it to other neighbors, who apparently said that the house owner had been too harsh. 

The thing is, a neighbor's lawn isn't public. No one can choose to leave their 'craft' in other people's places without permission and expect them not to throw it away, especially when those creations are ugly or scary. If the neighbor had already refused to have the sculpture there, she should have respected her decision. And all the neighbors who said she was too harsh for throwing it away are welcome to put the artist's sculptures in their own lawns.
