Have you gathered your soup recipes for the season yet?

It's fall time! The most perfect season of the year. If only it were longer! Sure, it's a bummer to have to say goodbye to summer. Plus, fall means that winter is right around the corner, and heck if I'm ready for that cold weather. Also, bye-bye sunlight; the sunsetting early truly eats at my sanity. 

Fall though. Autumn time. Ahhh, what's not to love? It's finally a break from those insanely hot summer days. The air is crisp and filled with pumpkin spice. The leaves are colorful and satisfying to the crunch. My sweaters and light jackets have missed me and I have missed them! Also, don't even get me started on spooky season! Actually, too late, I love spooky season. I am a huge fan of a jump scare. I'm the crazy girl laughing in the front of the group during the entire walk through a haunted house. You don't even need to check if I'm available: Yes, I want to go to spooky fall stuff with you. Right now, that means memes!

  • It was so friggin' hot this past summer. The humidity made walking anywhere feel like you were trudging through muddy swamps. The blazing sun was nice at first, but after the third sunburn, I just couldn't afford the necessary SPF anymore. Where was the satisfying shade to escape to? It was even hot under a nice tree! What happened to those nice summer breezes that were timed right when you needed them? Did they take off this summer?

    I'm so glad it is officially fall now. The best time to exist. The best outfits too, in my opinion. I love a light jacket and comfy boots. I would be lying if I said I'm just starting to plan my Halloween costume, because I've been planning that since the last Halloween ended. Last year I wore a net with fake fish in it and a fishnet bodysuit; I was a “fish net.” I thought it was funny. I love a good punny costume from time to time. Are you the scary type or the funny type? Or the cute type? They're all fun!

  • I have also been adding more to my soup recipe folders. A lemon chicken soup, a gnchoochi soup, a leek potato soup, my mouth is already watering! I tried making a soup earlier this month when it was still like 90 degrees out, and I must confess, that was a poor decision. Did I still force myself to eat it? Yes. Was I sweating the entire time? Like a pig. It was still delicious, though; I can't wait to make it again later this fall!

  • For my friend group and me, there is nothing more relatable than crispy air, fall time, and spooky season memes! We love to decorate, we love pumpkin spice, and we love to wear our leather jackets. I have no idea how some of those punks out there wear their leather all year round; I just don't have that in me. When fall hits, though, I jump for joy when I get to wear that baby! A biker jacket from the 90s that was my mom's! It's covered in pins and still looks nice and shiny. Love that thing. Are there any memes about that? Probably, there are memes about everything!
