How can you make your daily routine at work a bit more enjoyable?

We all have different ways to get through the day at work. No one can work like a robot for 8 hours a day without giving themselves a mental break, so we must come up with perks that help us break the routine and lift our spirits.

Many rely on food for that purpose. We plan what we're going to eat for lunch the second we step into the office, and we treat ourselves to snacks and candy throughout the day to give ourselves little energy boosts. Some rely on their coworkers for a much-needed gossip session or a simple friendly conversation that has nothing to do with work. There is also music, texting friends, and even looking at pictures of your pets; all wonderful ways to get out of the work mindset for a little while and spice up the day.

The most clever employees, however, find ways to sprinkle the whimsy right into the work itself. They don't need five minutes to forget about work when they have ways to make work fun on its own.
