‘I’m the controversial chicken keeper with a pet fox’: Vulnerable fox seeks refuge in Brit’s garden who adopts and builds her a furever home so she’ll never be alone again

There are plenty of outlandish things that people do with animals in this world. Whether it be whale hunting, wearing furs or eating insects, you are never in short supply of shocking things that hoomans do with animals. So it is rather shocking in itself that a hooman who actually wants to help an animal is labelled controversial but that is the world we seem to be living in. So come along and meet the woman who cares for 12 chickens and now one sweet fox as she puts in the time and effort to make a safe living environment for her latest lodger.

Now sure, in most cases foxes and chickens certainly do not mix. But we will remind you that this story takes place in South London. An urban area where foxes are much more likely to be eating trash than they are to be chasing after chickens. Meaning that while this fox might be incredibly intrigued by the instinctual urges it feels when it sees its new hooman's chickens, it likely has no idea what to do with them. Much like a house cat when presented with a mouse running through the house.

Which just goes to show how pure an animal loving heart this hooman has that she was able to see beyond the stereotype and appreciate that if a fox had actually come up to her for help, that it was no ordinary critter and would be more than ok to have living around her precious feathery friends. This is the story of being able to see the true nature of a soul, rather than solely what they have been labeled as.

While foxes have been officially pawtected by the law in the UK, attitudes towards them are still relatively bad. So you can imagine just how outstanding it is that a hooman who cares for chickens no less is the one who is taking the first step towards making this world a fox-frendlier place.

And while you might have thought that this fox would not be able to overcome her wild instincts and would be poking and prodding her chicken neighbors all day long. Our poster actually tells that it is the chickens who run the show in this garden, often intimdating the lone fox into submission.

After the fox made it clear that she was intending on staying in this woman's garden for lack of a better place to be, she decided it would be only right to offer her new lodger some actually lodgings to reside in. And so she set about building her a home out of some spare pallets.

Armed with little more than a blunt saw and some industiral strenght zip ties she set about creating a pawfect furever home for the fox. One that would not only provide comfort and pawtection from the elements but also other potential invading foxes who got jealous of the fancy living arrangement.

With the structure now complete, all that was left to do was give the hungry critter some food, including a home grown egg from the chickens next door. An act which is sure to send the feathery neighbors into a frenzy, but apparenlty it is worth angering 12 chickens in the name of one fox…

And here she is the fancy fox who has been lucky enough to choose one of the kindest and most caring hoomans out there. Who else would have gone to such lenghts just to ensure the security of an animal that is usually considered to be a pest.

Having been homeless herself, this hooman understood what it is like to be alone, to have no one to help you and to be ostrasized. It seems that her bond with her new fox friend is a firm one, and one that shall accompany them on many an advenutre through life together.
