Jayden-ha Convenience spending. Delivery fees, uber rides, subscriptions you barely use, grabbing coffee or lunch because you don't feel like making it yourself, it rarely feels expensive in the moment, but those little charges add up surprisingly fast over a year.

KnockoffKnives Taking off from stop signs and intersections too quickly. Gas is expensive, and the faster you take off, the more gas you use.

TeaOk2254 Soda pop. Not only has it gotten crazy expensive, it's extremely addictive, and alters your taste buds very quickly until non-sugary beverages don't taste right. Not just not good, but not right, and that takes weeks after to wear off. Even years after cutting it out (but not caffeine or sugar so it's not withdrawal) I still find myself desperate for it when I'm in a low mood. I can drink a giant 44oz and still be thirstier than when I started, and want more.

stiff_sock Buying lunch every day. I bring my own food to work and max out my IRA for less than my co-workers spend on lunch in a year.

Necessary-Box-8427 Getting a drive thru cappuccino every morning on the drive to work. Then I started getting one on the way home as well, and on the way to grocery shopping and back on Saturdays and on the way to church on Sundays. I realized that I was spending $400 a month on coffee! That's more than my car payment!

Iwillhelpyousee Anything that is not truly aligned with your budget and done out of convenience. I buy iced coffee often enough as a little treat, but it's on my favorite things list and I get a lot of joy out of it. I'd rather make my own lunch for a few reasons, and that feels more aligned for me.

Objective-Light-9019 Laziness - pay for landscaping, house cleaning, car washing, house fixing, car fixing. You name it, lazy people will pay others to do it!

jason2354 I'm going to save everyone the effort of reading through these posts. People are spending money on daily coffee or other drinks + door dash and other convenience services. It's also expensive to live and a lot of people are over it.
