Pinto Bean is the sweetest little pup that loves her mom and pop—but once she's challenged to a duel, she's all teeth and dragon wings, no matter who her opponent is!
Dungeons and Dragons isn't a game to be taken lightly. It is an epic storytelling game with lots of adventurous twists and turns. TikTokers Anna Kimbro and her husband Luke are avid D&D players—they even host their own D&D-inspired podcast that includes their dog Pinto as the main character. And it's their dog Pinto Bean that is making them go viral.
Now, Pinto is no normal Australian Shepherd dog. The second she is challenged by her dad wielding a LARP weapon, the dragon wings go and and she grabs hold of either her dagger or large sword (both obviously fake). She takes her stance and starts to growl (all while wagging her stubby little tail). She bounces around like a skilled swordsman and duels like her life depends on it! It's actually absolutely adorable and seems like she could kick anyone's butt at a LARP game of D&D.
Her dad Luke will usually wear his D&D knight outfit with shiny armor and a cloak. Watching the two duel is so fun, because the dog is actually pretty good—it's like she takes it very seriously. Her growls and swings of the sword make for an epic battle! (She swings the sword by holding it in her mouth and thrashing her head.) But don't be concerned, non of the weapons are real and no one actually gets hurt. In fact, the second Pinto's dad stops or slows down during their battles, Pinto instantly stops and waits patiently and turns back into the sweet pup she normally is.
How Luke and Anna trained Pinto to be such a valiant knight and swordsman is a mystery to their viewers, who keep growing in the millions. Pinto is so good at her “attacks” that sometimes TikTok will take down their videos for “violence.” However, if you watch the viral videos, it's evident that this pup is just having fun and is as gentle as a docile (dragon) hatchling.
Dogs doing LARP is not a very common thing, so it's not surprising that Pinto is quickly going viral and trending on TikTok. Sure, you'll see dogs in costumes at a LARP event, but not usually in the LARP battle field—which is what makes Pinto so special. She's even started inspiring other dogs on TikTok to pick up the art of sword fighting.
Pinto is the pioneer of Dragon dog knights of the 21st century. Hopefully, more storyteller D&D players will include Dragon Australian Shepherd sword-wielding Knights into their adventures. Those who passes one must befriend or duel!
