  • The truth is that jobs that post such a low salary want young people from wealthy backgrounds (aka young people without student loans) to work for them

Bill @BillWildin If your corporate job requires a bachelor's degree but only pays $45,000 a year in a major US city, you are operating a scam. That is literally not enough money to pay rent, buy groceries, and pay off the student loans required to get the job.

  • Do you think that other generation's struggles are comparable to Gen Zs? Did millennials have it worse?

Taylor Kim @taylorkimwrites Older generations say "we all struggled in our 20s." No, you didn't. You didn't pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs. You didn't graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn't dramatic. They're drowning.
  • If you have a high interest rate, it's a really bad idea to stop making payments on your student loan! It won't just go away

5hahem aka Dr. Durag @shaTIRED someone stitched my tiktok about not paying student loans and said not to do it. she's a single mom and missed payments to feed her children. they garnished her wages, took her tax returns for years. she took out $11k in loans. she paid upwards of $60k+. she owes $9k still.

  • Do you think that this is ethical?

Jeremy ✔ @jeremyct A bank won't approve a $1,000,000 mortgage for someone making $100k a year. A dealership won't finance a $75,000 car for someone earning $35k. But an 18 year old can take on $250,000 in student debt for a degree that leads to a $40,000 salary. No credit check. No income verification. No reality check.
