There's a part of me that has always associated cats with Halloween. I know it's a pretty common train of thought, but I'm truly convinced that this season was created for felines to shine and show how and why they are magical beings. If you think about it, every part of them has a side that can be more mystic and spooky: the way they stay up all night, the shape of their eyes, how they always land on their feet. Isn't that like being enchanted? Because it is, at least in my books!

With these great features, cats don't really need to get costumes to celebrate Halloween. It's the other way around, actually: we can dress up like cats. Getting a good costume and having to walk in that slow, hypnotic way… Mmmm, I think I have just found my costume for this year. Besides, cats don't like to be touched, so instead of forcing your feline to get into a costume, why don't you dress up as it? It can be a great idea, and I'm sure that your pet is going to thank you for leaving him alone.

There're so many things we need to learn from cats if we're actually dressing up as them. Not only the walk, but how they stare at people and at random places. Are they seeing ghosts? Are they communicating with another dimension? And how is it they always land on their feet? Get ready, because all of these, and so many more, are part of the costume as well. Start by practising how they sit and how they clean their paws. Cats are very clean beings, so your costume has to be squeaky clean.

Wait, I'm actually starting to imagine my costume. What type of cat are you choosing? We should all have to pick black, because Halloween season is basically their season. I've always had a preference for black cats, anyway. I never liked that they were always put aside because of fake rumors that never became true. I actually believe they are the most magical of all cats: I feel like they have more sensitive skills and spend more time alone, which means that they appreciate their own space and are very selective when they decide they want to be adopted by a human.

Because we're entering spooky season and every cat out there is getting ready to shine, we need to honour them with some special and funny cat memes.
