Hi! I'm Cata. If you've ever lost track of time scrolling through memes, fallen into a random Reddit rabbit hole, or become weirdly invested in internet drama that had absolutely nothing to do with you, we're probably going to get along just fine. I'm a writer with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and I've spent the last five years writing about internet culture, digital trends, and the online communities that shape the way we interact today. Born in the 2000s, I grew up alongside the internet. I've watched social media evolve from chaotic early platforms into the fast moving digital world we know today, which means I've spent most of my life immersed in the same spaces that now inspire my work. One of my favorite topics to write about is memes. Not just because they're funny, although they usually are, but because they're often a surprisingly accurate reflection of what's happening online. A good meme can tell you what people are talking about, what they're frustrated by, and what they find relatable, all in a single image. After years of following online trends, scrolling through forums, lurking in comment sections, and spending far too much time on Reddit, I've gotten pretty good at spotting which memes are genuinely connecting with people and which ones are likely to disappear by next week. What interests me most about internet culture is how quickly it changes. One day everyone is talking about the same viral post, and a week later it's like it never existed. I enjoy digging into those moments, figuring out where they came from, why they resonated, and what they reveal about the communities that helped spread them. When I'm not writing, there's a good chance I'm reading Reddit threads I didn't need to open, saving posts I'll probably never revisit, or keeping up with whatever bizarre corner of the internet has captured everyone's attention. At this point, spending an unreasonable amount of time online has become less of a hobby and more of a professional qualification.
