There's also a reason why kittens cause a reaction in us. Their babyish features, like big eyes, round faces, and small noses, can make them seem cute and bring out affectionate responses from us. So that's why I feel so emotionally invested every time I see a kitty. I just want to be gentle and tell them how precious they are. The affection comes out so easily. BUT if you want me to compliment a human, that's another story. It won't come out that easily. First you have to, at least, cook something for me. Then we'll see.

I'll do better next time

And if I'm using my baby voice and the kitten meows back, I'll try to take the conversation further. I study translation, so I'm actually trained in interpreting what others have to say in a different language. Cat language hasn’t come up in my studies yet. So I can try to understand what the kitten says, but I'll need a native speaker to confirm.
Whether I understand them or not, for now I'll be spending a little of my Wednesday looking through these kitten memes and saying things the kittens will never hear. I hope someone is telling them in person. Especially the ones with sleepy faces. I have so many compliments for those.
