This handsome black and silver gentleman has been living in our shrubs for the last 7-10 days. We're new to the neighborhood and figured he must belong to someone because he is so sweet and loves to be pet. We'll take him to our other (four!) cats' vet to have him scanned for a chip. In the absence of a chip, I guess he makes number five. Oh, did I mention we already have four cats?

Kscarpetta My mom's house came with a hog! She ran it off. He had his own room in the house. This wasn't a pot bellied pig. It was a full on hog.

Human-Anxiety-3822 I wasn't excited about looking at our (now) home, but my husband liked it, so I decided to take a look. Pulled up with our realtor to see at least 3 cats in the front yard! Needless to say, that engendered good feelings.

House ended up being perfect for us, and am happy to say we ended up gaining 8-10 bonus kitties with our purchase! The WW2 vet who lived next door TRN'ed a colony from an apartment complex that was torn down. I treat them all as my own

and happily feed and care for them. It gets expensive and we've lost a few over the years, but they truly make our house a home. Can't imagine not "knowing" them!

Foreign_Account_5396 Maybe he didn't have his reading glasses when reviewing the closing documents so he could've cleared up any misunderstandings about whose house it was

Southern Reality 9610 We got a bonus cat with our house. Found out she belonged to the neighbor, but apparently we had better food. She was an absolute delight and I think of her every day. Congratulations on your new roomie

kinokits Congratulations on your housewarming present! He is very handsome and very polite looking, I'm sure he'll be a wonderful addition to the family. And trust me, there's not that much difference between 4 cats and 5 as long as you have room for the extra litter tray.

stillh20gal He is lovely. We had two indoor cats when we bought this house but gradually gradually more showed up-moms Daughters kittens lots of TNRS and now we have lost the two indoor cats due to old age but have two from the pack that are mostly our indoor cats-everyone else is in the friendly colony-12 on a full day. We are never without company.

Nervous_Insect5976 It's a house warming gift. A new trend when you buy a house. The previous owners will give you a cat. It's catching on.
