Time inevitably keeps moving forward, and yes, we keep getting older and older. We have now become the parents, when we used to be the angsty teenagers. While we dwell on the fact that, to other younger generations, we are supposed to be the “responsible” ones, we can also acknowledge the fact that our childhood was awesome. Some of the best music hits came out throughout our teenage years, alongside their corresponding celebrity drama. Kids these days will never quite understand what the “Brad and Jen” era did to our entertainment.
But, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Times have changed no doubt, since kids today rather film a tik tok on school recess than try to beat each other holla hoops records. That said, there is no reason why we can’t continue to celebrate all the wonderful experiences we got to live. Yes, I'm saying, you’re not the only one who still blasts some iconic Nirvana song while you dust your windows and meal prep.

It was weird, it was wild, and it was iconic. Millennials definitely got to experience some of the most unexpected moments in history, and our personalities nowadays are a testament to that. We are not afraid of anything, and, when you reflect on it, our constant social anxiety is just a result of the unrepeatable and unique traditions of our generation that now belong in museums. Trust me, it wasn’t our parents who encouraged us to become such perfectionists, but that one Mario version that seemed impossible to get through.

Yes, every time someone calls our song playlist a “classic,” we feel a little old. We are actually starting to understand the Boomers in a way. Yes, I also can’t believe I wrote that. That said, there is nothing in the world we would exchange about being 90s kids. It was simply perfection. Don’t get me wrong, I'm all in for using your new smartphone to curate a perfect Spotify mix, but the feeling of taking your brand new Walkman to school and becoming everyone’s envy continues to be unmatched. I would never give up the memory of sitting in my dad’s car looking through a very on-theme CD folder, trying to pick our next listen for a weekend road trip, or that wholesome feeling of having managed to create an extra-long snake by passing all the levels on your mother’s Nokia phone. What I’m saying is that social media is fun and all, but never as fun as getting proposed to with a Ring Pop by your school crush, and that is just beautiful.
