Who says that juggling classes, deadlines, and school gossip doesn't come with a little fun along the way?

When we were in school, some old folks would say, "Cherish this moment, because it goes by so fast and you'll remember it forever." I can't say I don't agree with that now that some time has passed since I graduated, but while I was still in school, hearing that phrase almost made me want to take off my ears. Because, yeah, I get it, it's all fun and games when going to school comes with a side of drama that no one really appreciates.

The gossip in the hallway, thinking about what to wear and what's trending to be on top of fashion, exams, projects, deadlines… It's a lot for some kids! We can agree there were some funny moments in the classroom that made our whole experience ten times better. Let's never forget those peers who did what it took to make the rest of the class laugh… to those we owe them big time.

I had a good experience since I went to a small public school, so there's nothing really big going on. I made some good friends and honestly had a blast. When I got to college, I realized my experience wasn't the same for everyone, and I can say now that I appreciate my school! Now… deadlines and exams came double-charged in college, and men… I barely made it out. Still had a good time, though.

Being a student is a huge part of our lives, and maybe it's one of the most important years of our lives. We not only meet lovely people who will be with us for the rest of our lives, but going to school and facing a bunch of unknown kids every day really helps shape our character and behavior. If you ever had to stand up for yourself, defend your work against teachers, and explain why you got into a conflict, you develop skills you'll use as you grow up. And don't even get me started on organizing schoolwork to meet deadlines and get enough grades to pass the years without making that much extra effort… Wait… Am I giving bad advice? Kids, pay attention in class and pass all of your classes! Okay, now I feel better. But still, school really does affect the way we see the world, in a good and maybe in a not-so-good way. That's why trying to have a good time is key… In the end, you spend more time there than at home…

Selecting these memes really made me go back to those days when going to high school was all I wanted to do. My mom was so proud of me because I never skipped a class (except PE), but really, it was because I wanted to go! I had an awesome time and made the best memories. Besides, if I skipped school, there was nobody in my class who I trusted to help me out with the schoolwork that I missed… Yup, I was THAT type of nerd…
