What would you do if you won the tickets and sold them? Is it okay to sell a gift?
This is a good question, and that's why most people debate what the right thing to do is. In this case, selling the tickets was wrong because the holder specifically said nobody was allowed to do so, since he really wanted an NFL fan to take advantage of them and attend the game. But in other aspects of life, is it okay? Have you ever sold a gift? I'll confess that I have, but only when a lot of time passed between the gifting and the selling; it's not like I sold it right away. And I don't think it's a bad thing. If I'm not going to use it, or I can't change or return it, then I'd most likely donate it or sell it.
For some people, that's crazy, and I see why. But, for me, it isn't that big a deal. When I gift someone something, I don't expect anything from them. They can enjoy the present or sell it; I don't really care. We have to stop expecting things from people and act from the kindness of our hearts. This way, we're going to avoid feeling sad when people act on their own desires and do things that disappoint us. So, if you ever gifted something and found out that the person sold it, it shouldn't really affect you. You know for next time what not to gift them, or to avoid giving a present in general, end of story.
