Here's the Recap of All the Highlights From Bethesda's E3 Showcase
It was a highlight-packed showcase with dozens of awesome moments that made the crowd cheer. DOOM and Dishonored 2 made appearances, but the obvious star of the show was Fallout 4. To say we're hyped is the understatement of the century.
Gone are the days of sliders. You grasp a part of your character's face and drag it the way you see fit, allowing for more seamless and holistic character creation.
You customize your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. when a Vault-Tec representative shows up at your door in 2077.
He's filing paperwork for Vault-Tec and, for some reason, needs to know just how charismatic you are, a trait you display quickly by shutting the door in his face.
Of course, no triple-A game release would be complete these days without a smartphone game to accompany it.
Fallout Shelter is a smartphone game for iOS that put players in the role of overseer for their own personal vault. Make babies, defend against raiders, and micromanage your vault dwellers in as totalitarian a fashion as you want. According to Todd Howard, the game is free and won't come with paywalls, which is a huge relief. Then again, this wasn't what the conference was all about.
Unlike having to wait for release of Fallout 4, Fallout Shelter is available NOW. Sorry, Android users, but it's iOS only.
