Machine Gun Kelly Tried to Cover System Of a Down's "Aerials" and It's Not Great

Howard Stern's name has been popping up a lot. Most recently it was to decry Will Smith's behavior at the Oscars, but today? It's because his guest, Machine Gun Kelly, appeared on the show and performed a, well, memorable set. 

The rapper-turned-pop punk star graced the show with his rendition of System of a Down's “Aerials,” and it's not great. It's actually really, really bad. His voice can't seem to hack it. It rasps. It strains. Unsurprisingly, he's smoking a joint the entire time. Wonder if it's connected.

Naturally, the critics of Twitter had a lot to say about the matter. 

There were comparisons.

There were criticisms.

And of course, there was a defender.

We just hope they practice more before the next attempt at the song.
