Funny Times People Made Misguided Assumptions About Age Differences

Twitter is king where age gap discourse is concerned. While everyone is talking about grooming these days (and not in the correct context), the topic of May-December relationships was already flourishing on the bird app. People love discussing how much of an age difference is or isn't appropriate. And while it's been tiring to see the same discussion happen every few weeks, every now and then the subject will manifest in a way that's actually funny. Yesterday was one of those days.

It seems Twitter user Diedrich Bader went for a hike with his daughter in Runyon Canyon Park in Los Angeles, and made the mistake of assuming that a host of fathers and daughters were on a similar outing. He realized that they were just couples with substantial age gaps, and his daughter - allegedly - had caught on.

The tweet has since gone viral, racking up over 17k likes. While we enjoy its humor, we have really been enjoying the anecdotes in the replies. They're chock full of similar misunderstandings, and they range from slightly disturbing to completely wholesome. A perfect mix, if you ask us. And definitely proof of how gracefully some people are aging, even if it's with a little help.
