Meet Clive, The Norwegian Forest Cat
Two-year-old Norwegian Forest cat Clive disappeared from his home in December 2014 leaving owners Tanya and Jonathan Irons devastated.
Here is a picture of Clive, on the right, before he went missing.
14 Months Later
Fast forward to 14 months later, Tanya and Jonathan received an interesting call. Clive had by found by staff at a pet food factory two miles away, who had noticed treats had been going missing at the factory.
The good life
Apparently, Clive had been living in the pet food factory all this time and when he was returned to his owners -- they said he had ballooned to almost twice his original size!
Retail director at the company, Colin Lewis, took the staff at Mirror, "I've been trying to catch him for weeks when I found out we had a cat living in the warehouse ... It's amazing. The warehouse is 20 thousand square foot of pet food. I think there's been a few holes in some of the boxes."
It was a group effort to capture Clive, Lewis said, "We got the trap from a cat rescue centre. It's a cage - you put some food in it, then when the cat goes in there's a pressure pad that shuts the door behind it."
Once Clive was captured, they took him to the vet where they were able to scan his microchip and find his owners! "Clive only ate cat food in the factory, I think he thought he was living in a penthouse," ended Lewis.
