In an interview with Business Insider published last week, retail industry analyst Robin Lewis claimed that Jeffries was intentionally trying to exclude overweight customers from shopping at his store, saying "he doesn't want larger people shopping in his store, he wants thin and beautiful people." The article went on to note that Jeffries had previously stated in an interview with Salon in 2006 that the company was intentionally exlusionary and only wished to market to "cool kids."
