Bus
Catching the bus to Fort Lauderdale is a cheap option. The Broward County Transit Bus (BCT) Route 1 bus is the only bus that goes to the airport. The route runs from the Broward Central Terminal to Adventura Mall in Adventura. Buses depart from each stop every 20 minutes during normal working hours and less regularly during late night and early morning. One-way cash tickets start at $2, and the Broward County Transit website has more details about fares.
Upon arrival at the airport, the Route 1 bus will drop passengers off at the Rental Car Center (RCC), which is located near Terminal 1. Fort Lauderdale Airport offers a free shuttle bus service to all terminals in the airport. The shuttle bus arrives at the RCC every 10 minutes, and there are blue signs indicating where the shuttle bus will stop. The shuttle bus will drop passengers at the doors of their terminal, and they can continue from there.

Ride-Sharing Apps
Using ride-sharing apps is a convenient and cheap way to travel around America. Uber, Lyft and Via all operate in Florida and are able to take passengers to Fort Lauderdale Airport. These apps can be downloaded via the App Store or the Google Play Store for Apple or Android phones.
All three apps operate in the same way. Once downloaded and opened, the apps require the passenger to enter their payment details (the payment is made through the app), their pickup location and the type of vehicle they would like. All three apps have a number of different vehicles and services to choose from, including shared and private cars, carpooling cars, larger cars like SUVs and vans and sedans.
Once this information has been filled in, the passenger is able to track their vehicle's location through the app and call the driver if needed, until the driver arrives. Passengers are able to be dropped at any of the four terminals on the departures level.
Uber Estimate is a website that allows passengers to calculate the estimated cost of their journey, although the three apps mentioned above will estimate the price once the pickup and drop-off locations have been entered.
