Looks like an Oscar-winning movie will join Tangled in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III.
Over the weekend at the Disney-centric D23 expo, Kotaku reported on the newest world coming to the beloved video game series:
Sora and crew will ride the robot Baymax and fight their way through a Big Hero 6 world in Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix announced today during the D23 expo in Anaheim, California.
Big Hero 6, an animated Disney film that stars a 14-year-old prodigy and his team of superheroes as they fight against a mysterious masked villain, was released in 2014 and won the Oscar for Best Animated Film.
Disney put out a whole trailer to announce the addition:
So far, there's been no release date mentioned for the game that mashes up Disney characters and settings within a Japanese-style action game, which unfortunately might mean it won't come until 2017.
