Cat With Rare Condition Finally Finds Furever Home And We're Over The Moon In Love
Meet Toby, the 6-year-old handsome cat who looks wise beyond his years, and who has feline cutaneous asthenia (FCA), also known as Ehlers Danlos syndrome in humans. Which means that his body doesn't produce collagen properly, resulting in loose skin. This also means that his skin is very fragile, easily bruised and cut.

When owner Georgina first met Toby, he was cowering in the corner at the shelter, hiding behind his best friend Quinton. Both cats were terrified upon their first meeting with Georgina, huddled in the back and trembling.
Georgina told Love Meow, "I didn't even get to touch him because he was just so scared."
According to Georgina, when the shelter first took Toby and Quinton in, they were in pretty rough shape. Quinton had to have all his teeth removed and Toby also had a few extracted. They were together through thick and thin and had to be adopted together.
Luckily for them, Georgina was completely smitten with both Toby and Quinton.

Like most cats, they needed to adjust to their new home life and soon enough were begging for affection.
"[Toby's] just so playful and full of life. To see the difference from the scared, sad boy that we adopted is just astounding. Quinton is a great big brother and takes care of Toby, cleaning him up when he hurts himself and waking Dad up for our breakfast. They wait in the window for us to get home and run to the door when they see us. They're so playful and fun. They bring such life to the place," said Georgina.

And while taking care of Toby isn't exactly the easiest, stating that her and her fiance, "try to manage this by trimming his nails, keeping the house clean and trying to avoid scratches. We feel very lucky that Toby's condition seems to be fairly mild."

Georgina shared this message on Instagram, "Please don't feel too sorry for Toby, he's a very happy, healthy boy who is incredibly loved."
