Ryzhik (which translates to Ginger), unfortunately, lost all four of his paws back in January in a -40C storm in Tomsk, Russia. When he was found, all his paws had been so badly frostbitten and with gangrene developing at lightning speed, there was no choice but to amputate.
Luckily, Ryzhik's new owner truly cares for this cat who has overcome such great odds. The owner took Ryzhik to a special clinic in Novosibirsk that specializes in artificial limbs.

The clinic is also working at rebuilding beaks for parrots, and hoods for cattle.
