Wow those are some pretty impressive feline characteristics right there, and quite rare at that. Like an indoor cat, is not likely to respond to their name, much less commands. But for an outdoor cat to do so, when they have the most free will an animal could have, is pretty darn special.

Well, that was quite the altercation. And what a sorry state of affairs for both the cat (who had two ‘owners’ who both gave her terrible names), and the cat momma who has to watch her fur baby being treated so wrongly. But the story does not end here and a rather valiant update is on its way.

“We’re not leaving until you give kat back!”: How a village confronted a controlling neighbor to rescue a beloved outdoor cat from a life tied to a bedpost
For a species that has managed to evict itself from the food chain so spectacularly, it is rather astounding that there is so much conflict among us. Like, how did we have the time and presence to advance as a society when people are still so petty towards one and other? The answer sure is not clear, but what is clear is that today we have a story that unfortunately exemplifies this very trait.
However, it also exemplifies another human trait, and that is the trait of community. Which while it is not leant on much in our times, when it is, it is a force to be reckoned with. And the lady who knowingly held a poor cat hostage was ultimately overwhelmed by that very communal power. This is a story of feline theft, communal uprising, and communal love and support for not only the people of the community, but for the cute cat children who live among them as well.
