6-Legged Pup Named 'Roo' Has Been Adopted By A Bullied Teen

We love this duo! The unique eight-week-old Labrador mix was born with 6-legs but hops around on her back paws -- thus explaining the name Roo! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name, Roo is the baby Kangaroo from 'Winnie the Pooh', and the cutest possible name for this little lab!

Meet Roo!

The mother of a 15-year-old from Kent, England adopted Roo for her son who was constantly being bullied at school due to his psoriasis. The mother, Lauren Salmon, told SWNS that her son first spotted Roo online, a pup born with two extra limbs and needed a furever home.

“Luke feels like the odd one out because of his condition, and now he’s got a best friend to match,” Salmon told SWNS

According to Salmon, "It was love at first sight for Luke and for Roo from [the moment they meet]. Luke is like a protective father. They never leave each other's sides and she even sleeps in his bed."

It's only been two weeks since the Salmon family has taken in Roo but they're crazy about her!

"We absolutely love Roo to pieces. She's is just a normal dog to us, just with a couple of extra bits. Her special legs don't cause her any pain, and it's easy to see just how full of life she is," Salmon added. "She's full of puppy energy, so we'd describe her as placid but playful. There are not many dogs like Roo out there. I think the breeders kill them off because they're not worth anything, but to us she's priceless."

“I think Roo will reduce Luke’s stress and that should help his skin,” Salmon said.
