Beware foreigners

Customer service standards definitely differ around the world.
In the US, for example, customer service is known to be pretty top tier since many careers highly depend on tips. Being an A**hole to your customers may feel satisfying in the moment, but when you make $2.50 an hour as a waiter or waitress, you better be the cheeriest server this restaurant-goer has ever had the luxury of meeting.
Some places are known for having neutral customer service levels of nice-ness. Like, they're not necessarily extremely nice to each person that walks in, but they're good at their job and make sure no orders get lost and everyone is decently satisfied. We couldn't really think of any specific countries to fit this category because they don't usually make lists of “Most Neutral (Blank)” on google.
Canada, like the US, is known for pretty darn excellent customer service, but the general consensus is that it's because Canadians just tend to be nicer in most situations, so it makes sense that it transfers to the workplace. Denmark and Sweden have some similar situations.
One place known to have pretty iffy customer service is France. We don't know the science behind it. But it's just a common thing that people often get prepared for before traveling to Paris, France especially.
Or, it's very possible that the lack of positive experience with customer service workers has to do with how English speakers behave abroad. We can't forget about that reality as well. But before we get too political let's get into this playfully hilarious Tiktok.
Daisy, or @Daisystarr, is a 20-year-old British girl living in France. Her Tiktok doesn't have millions of followers, however, she made a quick exaggerated video about how customer service workers treat foreigners and it completely blew up! It may be her incredible French accent or her incredible timing, we'll never know.
This 19-second video has already 9.3 million views. A number that rose quickly and shocked even Daisy.
And after so many people demanded a part 2, she finally delivered.
Tiktok truly is a magical place where anyone can go viral if they reach their target audience. And clearly, Daisy did just that.
