Toddler Fights With Her Mom and Dad Over Marrying One of Them, Won't Take No For an Answer

If you've spent any time around toddlers, well, you know they can be quite demanding and stubborn. They don't call it ‘The Terrible Twos' for nothing.

The toddler years must be the ones where children truly learn what is and is not theirs to keep. It's up to parents to set these kinds of boundaries for their children so that they don't enter school thinking they own everything they come by.

What makes it so hard to teach our kids boundaries, and how to ask for proper permission, is that they are so darn cute. How do you explain to quite possibly the cutest little girl in the world that she can't marry her father?

On Tiktok, the Walter Family, or @aria_and_luke, posted a super cute video of their little daughter insisting that she marry her dad one day.

Aria Asks Her Father, "Are you gonna marry me?"

It's hard not to want to say a huge YES to this adorable question. But obviously, as parents, the Walters must explain to their cute daughter that marrying her father is probably not in the cards.

But before bursting her bubble, they have. a little fun with her. Aria's father comes up with another option for her.

“Maybe you can marry mommy”

You can tell by Aria's expression that she never considered this an option. This conversation quickly gets educational, yet still hilarious.

“But she's also a girl"

Aria shoots down her father's idea pretty quickly. She has no time for games.

“Daddy, marry me!”

This adorable toddler is getting pretty impatient.

“Girls can marry girls.”

Aria's dad backs up his idea with some very progressive thinking. And we would argue he was pretty successful in shifting her attention.

“Mommy so are you gonna marry me?”

How do you say no to this face? Well, Aria's mom had to politely decline as well. But Aria still put up a fight.

"But Daddy said girls can marry girls"

Aw, they learn so fast!

“That is true, but not already married girls, I'm already married.”

Dang, tough day to be a toddler trying to get married.
