Puppy gets her ears all dirty when eating, so her owner puts them up in a scrunchy; older kitty sibling thinks it's a scary torture device.
Dog owners with floppy-eared pups know—when they're little like that, it's hard for them to eat without getting their ears all gross from the food bowl. Sometimes they'll even nip their own ear by accident while eating! Some will grow out of this, others will need proper ear placement while eating forever. For us dog owners, having to put those floppy little ears into a scrunchy is simply adorable. We could look at that image all day. Cats, however, are proving to be very confused by this act.
A TikToker who posts videos of her fur babies recently posted her cat looking sus'd out when her new puppy sibling had to scrunchie her ears up. The kitty Chlea and her new basset hound puppy sister Senna only recently started getting along, so now her older kitty sibling seems like she's taken on the position of protector.
Chlea the kitty is used to dogs, having an older beagle sister named Chloe—so she was practically raised by a dog. So now, she's taking on the responsibility of raising this new pup like she was raised by the older pup. Senna, the new pup, has very floppy ears and they have to be pulled back while eating. It looks adorable to us, but to her kitty sibling, she is freaked out. She walks around Senna observing her while she eats her food, ears scrunchied, and gazes at her in concern. It's like she's asking the dog if she's ok. It's very sweet.
The two chase each other around like cats and dogs, but in the end they are absolutely in love with each other. The TikToker posts videos of them cuddling together and Chlea giving her puppy baby sister a cat bath. She even has a video of Senna curling up next to her older kitty sister and giving the most adorable and satisfying sigh of relief when she finally gets comfortable on her and cuddled up.
The TikToker has been viral for several years now because of her precious fur babies and even has merch that contributes to non-profits that help keep animals from being tested on.
