The venue capacity was 1,500 and this dog had 0 stage fright.
Stick Figure is a roots-inspired dub/reggae band from California. They have a strong cult-following and play sold-out shows to venues that fill up well past the thousands. They are currently on tour and playing these huge venues all over the U.S. Recently, however, it wasn't their performance that thrust them into the viral world of the Internet, but that of the lead signer's dog Cocoa.
Scott Woodruff is the multi-instrumentalist that leads Stick Figure. He is very close with his sweet dog Cocoa and brings her along for all his music shenanigans as much as he can. The fans of the band know this and love the dog. They even make t-shirts dedicate just to Cocoa. This recent tour, Stick Figures brought the sweet baby and even had her on stage. She joined them recently at their show in Nashville and she completely stole the spotlight.
Though the music is loud and the lights are flashing and there are thousands of people staring at you cheering and moving around, this dog was unfazed. She saw the balloons and needed them STAT. To any human, this kind of environment is not naturally comfortable. Many performers have to build their way up to being able to take the spotlight at such a magnitude. Heck, even bands performing to 5 people at a dive bar can be intimidating if it's your first time. Sweet Cocoa is a natural and bounces around playing with the balloons while her pa performs. She did such a good job in Nashville and took front and center stage that her dad couldn't stop laying in glee watching her while he performed.
This dog gets the rockstar treatment while on tour with Stick Figure. They take her to get her groomed before they perform and she gets all the belly rubs she wants. She's even got her own fanbase within the fans of Stick Figure. Hopefully, the next step will be her taking the mic to sing along with her pops and band buddies. Maybe she'll even make an album with them soon!
