Horrible Boss Bribes Customers to Tell on Workers Using Their Phones

There’s nothing worse than a boss that won’t stop looking over your shoulder. They’re the kind of boss you have developed a 6th sense to tell if they’re watching you, waiting to pounce at a moment's notice to reprimand you for the unforgivable crime of checking your phone. As stressed and paranoid as this management style can make you feel, at least a sigh of relief comes when that nosy manager is not working during your shift.

Sadly, there is no escape from this overbearing boss for some workers, particularly the employees at WifeSaver, a fried chicken chain in Georgia. Their Big Brother-esque management team has been exposed in a recent post on r/antiwork where a sign posted in the restaurant encourages customers to snitch on employees for wearing headphones or using their cell phones. The twist? If the customer snaps a picture catching them in the act, the management will give the customer a $25 gift certificate.

Most Redditors threw a lot of criticism towards WifeSaver, with a vocal minority questioning the poster's authenticity. The management's brazen disregard for their workers, not to mention the sexist name of the business, did not go unnoticed. The fact that a sign like this could plausibly exist is a testament to the audacity and ubiquity of horrible bosses.
