Nowadays people view travel as simply the part that gets you to your destination. It's not like back in the day when traveling was actually a main part of your vacation. Back when people had to take long train rides and even longer boat rides, (if you had money) those trips were usually luxurious and epic.
That of course was for the bourgeoisie back in the day, but now travel is extremely affordable. All it needs now is to bring back the enjoyable part. Instead of getting cramped into the coach of a plane that made you wait 3 hours just to board, why not take a train that allows you to bring as many bags as you'd like and you can get an entire room to yourself? Sure, it might take an extra 10 hours, but that's 10 extra hours to relax!
TikToker @peppa_pig_biggest_fan recently posted about her train trip. She chose to ride a train from Virginia to Florida that took 16 hours, rather than taking a flight that would've taken only 2 hours. Why you ask? Because of Big Chris.
“Big Chris if you see this, ily and I hope I get to see you on my trip back up”
Big Chris is a train conductor who seems to really love his job. The TikToker shared a video of him making announcements and he is just so full of love and joy—making everyone on that train feel like a million bucks.
Big Chris: “When I say hello I need to feel some love, I just want to feel a warm hello to Big Chris so, HELLO EVERYONE!”
Train passengers: “HELLO BIG CHRIS!!!”
Big Chris: “Oh yeah! That was lovely. I love you so much! Can I hear it one more time? HELLO EVERYONE!”
Train Passengers: “HELLOOOO BIG CHRISSSS!”
Big Chris: “Let's just start this morning with the first order of business—you guys are the most amazing and you are all my priority and I cannot wait to support and love you all…”
Everyone on TikTok who has seen this video has simply fallen head over heels in love with Big Chris. I mean, who wouldn't? He is such a sweetie! People saying they have to dose up on anti-anxiety meds before they hop on a plane would much rather take a longer trip if the person taking them there were as precious as Big Chris. His calming voice and kind words truly make the long ride all worth it.
