Thanks, pal! No worries about it being 'forgettable'. A glass of wine at home on the balcony is about as rowdy as it gets any more. Now if I could just forget how old I'm getting I'd be a real happy camper =) I know you've been very busy for a while but it sure will be nice to see you here again on a regular basis!

Thanks! Just finished the 1st rewrite/edit. Pat's reading it now. I'll look at his notes and then do a second rewrite. Then put it aside for a while before doing a last edit before meeting with the two literary agents in May. If they have no interest or are not in the least bit encouraging, I guess I can go back to self-publishing. This one is a mystery/romance. A whole, different thing than my other books, but still me and my kindhearted ways.

Checking in. How are you doing? Things are hectic here! I'm putting out an anthology of poetry from the youth of Indiana. I'm writing a new book that I'm trying to finish before meeting with two literary agents in May. I've got a new audiobook coming out any day now (The Find of a Lifetime) and I'm re-editing Bindings to give that text to my narrator for yet another audiobook. Whew!

That's a good thing! It looks the same here too - rain. Chuck's got the Pro/Am on at Pebble Beach and they just got hail there. Bet that doesn't happen very often.

Thank you. It was time & the vet helped to end it peacefully & painless. They were very good to both Millie & me & I was able to hold or pet her every second we were there.

Yep, it sounds like the west coast is getting plenty of 'weather' this winter! Sounds like a mess in a lot of areas there. Compared to most of the rest of the country we've got it pretty good here. I think I'll save any further griping until the summer. Unless we get an ice storm before it's all over.

I guess I haven't been on here for a while! My fingers don't type very well when my hands are cold and even with the heat turned up they still get cold. Good thing I don't live up north! We've got a few warm days coming up so I'll be able to thaw out. We're going out to lunch and then grocery shopping today just to get out of the house for a while. Woo hoo!

The only thing I can see possibly happening is for the league to allow the coach to challenge a no-call. That bar in Yosemite sounds fantastic! Watch the snow while you're all toasty by the fire. Gosh, the Warriors are on early tonight. Shoot, they're already behind. That's all right, they'll win. =)

Yes, it's best to be able to enjoy snow from your living room rather than having to travel to see it. The Saints got screwed on that no-call, all right. The idea of having a replay has come up but I have a feeling it won't happen. I hope they at least change the rule to make plays like that reviewable.

It's really not that bad. I'm at the age now where I don't buy much unless it's to replace something that quit working, so I don't plan on doing all this again. It just started snowing out. So pretty! We should only get a small amount and it'll be gone by tomorrow, so I can just sit back and enjoy it today.

Oh your poor mom! At least it's not an all-day problem - yet. If it gets worse maybe she can try a steroid shot. I've decided to clean out our kitchen cabinets. There are pots and pans and dishes and gadgets stuck way back in the corners that have been there since we moved in and never been used I suppose after 30 years its time it's time to unload. =)

Swinney's got a good sense of humor. Gotta like that. We had two sunny, pleasant days and got a lot of errands done as well as some cleaning. Now it's back to cold and rainy so I'll just have to goof off for a few days. What a shame. Chuck's been on a mission to find a new deep fryer as our old one is pretty much on it's last legs. He spent hours on line before he FINALLY decided to get one from Walmart. Of course, they didn't have it at the store so I ordered it for him. Free, 2-day shipping - ya can't beat it. It came this morning and he's happy. Thank goodness! Elf is happy too - he has a new box to play in. I think he's sleeping in it now. Cats are just weird.

Well, if you're a Clemson fan it was a good game. Bama fans are probably still in shock. Lawrence was amazing, and that WR Ross was pretty darn good, too. And to think they're both freshmen. If they stay healthy they'll be high picks in the NFL draft in a few years. I wonder if either one will stick around for his senior year.

It's all shiny and clean again. =) The main cleaning chore was the floor mats and carpeting, as with all the rain we've had it gets covered in pine needles, leaves and general muck pretty quickly. I rarely smoke in it, and when I do I keep the driver's side window and the sun roof open, so at least I don't have to mess with everything coated with smoke. In fact, it still smells pretty much like a new car. I feel bad for the Bears' kicker too. They tend to be the scapegoats in those situations but the defense should never have let it get to that point. Ah - Clemson just intercepted and ran it in for a TD. YAY!

You're getting rained on and we're sunny and warm - now that's a switch. Maybe it'll stay like this for a while. I was rooting for the Seahawks but I think they could have played better. Seems like it was 3 runs and a punt way too many times. I was glad for Indy too, especially Luck. He had a good year finally. I'm not paying attention to today's games. I'm going to go out and clean the inside of my car. It could really use it.

That's good news about your laptop. Of course, we all must have a whole slew of long and complicated passwords these days. Hell no, I'm not cleaning all the time. =) If it's sunny out I get after it but with all the dreary, cloudy and rainy days we've been having, I just can't get very motivated. Today is warm and sunny and I've gotten a good bit done, inside and out. Now I'm ready to fade on the couch and watch some football.

No doubt you're right about those draft picks. I've been playing FF for so long that I tend to ignore individual defensive players when I'm thinking about what a team needs. I sure didn't like seeing the Warriors lose another game by one point in OT! ACK!

So... it's January 3rd and I'm all ready for winter to be over with. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Too bad for me I suppose, as we'll probably have at least one good ice storm to get through first. I keep telling myself it's good that I don't live up north somewhere. I'd probably go stir crazy waiting on Spring. I see the Niners will have the second pick in the draft. That's pretty good. Arizona picks first and I'd imagine they'll try to get a good QB. Garopollo should be good to go next year, so maybe he can get rolling. I'll be rooting for Seattle this weekend to beat the Cowgirls.

It really is nice to be able to watch those games without getting up every few minutes to check stats and gripe about your players. =) If anyone can beat Bama this year, it'll be Clemson. I'm sure not betting on it tho. Here's a funny story for ya... I decided to go to Wally World yesterday before the crappy weather came back. It was busy but at least there were plenty of check-out lanes open. I counted my money before I went and had $129 and 14 cents, so I figured that would be enough. As it turns out, my total bill came to exactly $130 and 14 cents. I had my debit card with me, thank goodness, so I just had to laugh. The check-out clerk probably thought I was a wacko. Next time I think I'll opt for 'a day late' rather than 'a dollar short'. Can't say that I"m sorry to see the end of 2018, and 2019 will probably start out on the rough side for a good number of folks, but I'll remain hopeful that things will get better. =)
