I was shocked! And my new book is done. Writing the synopsis and pitch. Meeting with an agent a week from Sat. So nervous! Yikes!

Weird thing -- I'm the featured poet/poem on poemhunter.com today and tomorrow. Have no idea how that happened!

At least you can nap whenever you want or need to, like me. If I still had a job I'd probably be in trouble. We watched the end of the Warrior game and as usual I was on pins and needles. I'm glad Curry got that last 3-pointer in. I think the weather will be okay where Sis is, tho they're predicting storms on Friday and Saturday so there might be some delays on my flights home Saturday. (I have to change planes in Dallas as usual.) But who knows - the weather gurus never get it right, especially 5 days in advance.

That schedule doesn't sound too bad at all with everything you've been through. Did you ever get a nap in yesterday? I used to hate naps when I was younger but now I seem to need one every day and have gotten used to it. Part of the "getting old" process, I suppose. I'm flying to Austin on Tuesday morning and will be back Saturday afternoon. I hope the "boys" will survive without me. Lol

Ah, home sweet home! I can only imagine how nice that is after all these months. Now to work on getting your strength back. I assume you have to get periodic checkups?

So your own nasty little marrow cells are all gone! Hooray!! I'm absolutely thrilled for ya. What a relief that's got to be. I'm sure you're not up for celebrating so I'll do a little happy jig here. =) Around here they test the tornado sirens every Wednesday at noon. Elf is usually sleeping when they go off and they don't bother him, but yesterday our resident coyotes started yipping and howling at the noise and Elf shot up like a Roman candle and then froze, eyes big as saucers. I tried to calm him down but couldn't help but laugh. I guess he didn't appreciate that because he took one look at me and then ran off and hid for about an hour. He finally came out and apparently forgave me for laughing, mainly because he was hungry and wanted me to feed him, I'm sure.

Wow - 87 there! I never would have guessed that high this early. We'll be in the 70s all week but once again we'll be getting more off and on rain. Ah well, better than no rain. We've had quite a few deer sightings this year, after not having seen any for a long time. Can't see them now as the woods are so lush and green. We've also had a lot of coyotes hanging around. One evening a pack of about 10 or 12 ran by right behind the house. You can hear them yipping it up around sunset every day. It's eerie to listen to. I hope our cat-owner neighbors know enough to keep their cats in at night. Coyotes love to dine on cats.

I figured you would need to wait a while. It's something to look forward to. I'm flying to Austin next week to visit my sis again. Usually I go in early April when it's cooler out but it always seems to rain most of the time I'm there. I"m hoping for drier days even if they are on the hot side.

After what your body went through I can understand why recovery will take a while. You'll get there! Any thoughts on getting another 4-legged friend, or is it too soon for that?

Excellent news! I'm glad that chapter in your life is over and done with. BTW, catsuberalles asked me to pass along "salubrious salutations, er best wishes for continued good health". I'll second that.

My sis turns 69 in May and she's decided she's just going to stay 69 for a few years. I might do the same when my turn comes. =) Oh Elf! His bday was yesterday too of course and he's now 10 years old, so we're pretty much the same age now. Unlike me however, he has absolutely no problem sleeping and does so for a good part of every day. That's fine with me, as the older he gets the more attention he wants while he's awake and he's become more vocal about letting us know. At least he never gets aggressive about it tho, and he rarely bothers me at night. He knows better than to ever wake Chuck up.
