Teen Driver Forces Parents Hand On Stupid Rule, Actually Wins

It sucks to find yourself on the receiving end of a stupid rule, especially when it's an overzealous parenting decision. It's rare, but sometimes teens find a way to turn the tables, like this kid who rented out his stepmom's house after giving away his PS4. At least the parents ended up admitting defeat. When people can't see reason, it forces others to take stock of the power they have over a situation, like this dude who fought back when a store owner wouldn't change his phone number.

Morons Who Shouldn't Be Allowed To Drive

Sometimes people don't seem to understand that driving is a cooperative event. That means risky maneuvers like strapping a literal ton of garbage to the roof of your car or dangling a dryer out the back while pushing 70 down the freeway isn't exactly the best way to inspire confidence in the drivers around you. We get to see enough unsafe maneuvers at work, it just so happens people are compelled to do dumb crap on their commute too.

Thanks to recent monsoon rains in Mumbai, the conditions were perfect for a sinkhole to open up riiiiight under some unfortunate person's car. True to its name, that sinkhole did what it does best. It's a little unnerving to imagine that at any time the ground could just open up and swallow whatever it wants, but what choice do we have? Should we not touch the ground? It's the ground.

Roommate's Girlfriend Shames Man For Buying Plastic Straws, Throws Them Out The Window

"Reduce, reuse, recycle" is a slogan that many of us have come to know over the years as we have become more environmentally aware. If we show love to the Earth, surely it will show love right back at us. While we love the environment just as much as the next person, there are people out there that take it too far, such as the girlfriend featured in this Reddit "Am I The A**hole?" thread. The original poster was giving his friend and his girlfriend a ride, and the girlfriend discovered that he had plastic straws. She accused him of not caring about the environment and threw the straws out the car window without asking him. In retaliation, he threw her out of the car. Who do you think is the a**hole in this situation? Let us know in the comments.

Reddit thread about environmentally friendly girlfriend who takes it too far | thumbnail text - Posted by u/paperstrawssuck 5 days ago AITA for buying a box of plastic straws, which somehow caused a fight with my roommate's new girlfriend? Not the A-hole So my city is going through a weird green initiative - and that means they want to slowly phase out the use of plastic straws and are forcing restaurants to make the shift. so most fast food places will give you a paper straw.

Mean Step Dad Tricks Kid Out Of Laptop, Kid Takes His Car

Man, this step dad sounds like a real nasty piece of work. What kind of guy tricks his kid out of a perfectly fine laptop? Fortunately, the kid kept his wits about him, and managed to enact a true pro revenge in response. Just picturing the way that that step dad's jaw must've hit the ground when he saw the kid take that "broken" car for a joy ride around the block, is enough to make the heart swell in deep appreciation. It's also a beautiful car!

TikTok Landlord Gets Called Out For False Advertising

Hustle culture is the absolute worst. It has a cringeworthy attitude, glamorizes dangerous overwork and demonizes anyone who might want to enjoy their life without striving to become a millionaire by the age of 30.

Most depressing of all, its zenith is the often shady world of property investment. The advent of TikTok has ensured that there's an influencer for pretty much everything these days, and landlords have grasped the opportunity with enthusiasm. The platform is home to countless real estate aficionados, showing off their wealth and providing frequently dubious advice on how others can achieve the same.

It has drawn wider attention recently due to one of the more prominent TikTok landlords. User @tatlondono made a video claiming that her ownership of a Porsche and a Range Rover was thanks to the ownership of three apartments, whose exterior featured in the TikTok.

However, once the video made its way to Twitter it was revealed that all was not what it seemed and the building she had filmed in front of was not even owned by her. In a sector where mismanagement and exploitation are rife, it's more than a little suspicious to be using blatant falsehoods. Unfortunately, it's also not likely to stop the #aspirational content train.

Man Pays Huge Debt On Vehicle, Demeans Helpful Employee, Pro Revenge Ensues

Just when we thought this whole story's arc was going to be soaked in nothing but welcomed positivity, then boom, the customer just has to go and prove himself to be a complete jerk. Fortunately, the employee that ended up having to field all of his dumb behavior had the wherewithal and the professional means to put him in his place, by throwing his precious car into sweet limbo.

Everything was going smoothly until everyone remembered that cars have wheels. It's almost like watching the car get woken up, go "nah man, I need my rest" then choose to go directly back to bed. But in a ditch. Hopefully the tow truck won't charge extra for their own mistake, but we all know how arguments with tow truck companies go.

Weird, Stupid and Absurd Car Modifications

From the idiotically expensive to the low budget car mods and fixes, there's a lot of room on the road for absurdity. That's not to say it takes technical expertise to make your car look like a bigass shark, it's just that it says more about you as a person than the car itself. Either way, as long as it's not going on our cars, may the dubious car mods flow freely.

Guy Teaches A Lesson To Handicap Spot Hog

You see it over and over again, someone parks like a jackass, then finds that someone can be a jackass right back to them. This guy who wasted an illegally parked Karen's time is another good example. People will never learn when it comes to this stuff, which is why people keep having to step in.

Manager Tries To Give Customer Predatory Car Loan, Customer Doesn't Fall For It

There's nothing we love more than to see an immoral car dealership manager get his rightful comeuppance after trying to take down a customer with a predatory car loan. Suffice to say, our mohawk'ed customer wasn't playing any games. This is why it's of the utmost importance to read the fine print before going ahead and signing anything. Check out some more of the pettiest petty revenge cases over here

In a sterling example of crap spatial awareness, these guys paid no attention to height specs and tried to park a U-Haul in a low-ceilinged parking garage. What started off as a "whoopsie" quickly turned into a "nononononononono" as they tried to turn around and burst a sprinkler pipe overhead. The moment of panic as that suspect brown water gets let loose is a thing of beauty.

The Most Entertaining Uber and Lyft Rides, According To Twitter

Taking a cab is a pretty standard experience in life. If you need to get somewhere quick, or you just wanna feel more boujee instead of taking public transit that day, you'll hop into a cab and be on your merry way. The concept of getting into a car with a random stranger is pretty weird, yet we've accepted it as a society because it's a super simple way to get around, especially with ride-share apps like Uber and Lyft. Some are super awkward - maybe not as awkward as your gyno appointment, but still awkward nonetheless. On the other hand, some people really hit it off with their drivers - as long as they don't puke in their cars after a night of drunk texting their exes. The people of Twitter have had their fair share of funny Uber/Lyft experiences, and we've documented the best ones below.

Funny tweets about taxi experiences | thumbnail text - Mike Coogan @schm_oogan Just left an Uber ride who's car radio go-to was listening to Horror Story podcasts. After 25 minutes of listening to how little Tommy went missing I think I'm switching to Lyft. 10:05 AM · May 11, 2018 from Palos Heights, IL · Twitter for iPhone

Sure, on its surface, it's a hundred toy cars on a treadmill. But at it's core, it's an action-packed and expertly announced 100 car demolition derby on a treadmill. This has gotta be in the top 5 ways to repurpose a treadmill, up there with "clothes hanger" and "belt sander." Place your bets.

Crazy Badass Storms Through Traffic Arm, Jumps Rising Drawbridge

Well, we've got a new candidate for Time's person of the year. Or at least the badassof the year. We just don't know their identity.

In a move that can be described as "sick," "dope," and "really f*cking cool," an impatient driver in Daytona Beach, Florida, decided to take a risk and drive over a rising drawbridge instead of waiting with all the sheep who would prefer to abide by the law. The spectacle was caught on camera, and seriously looks like something out of an action movie.

While we were hoping this daredevil would come out of this scot-free, the stunt was not well-received by police, who believe they've identified our new hero. Though this may be the most talked about instance of Evel Knievel-ry, it seems like jumping over drawbridges is a "Florida Man" trait. A motorcyclist made the dramatic leap last month, and we've even seen footage of a dude running over a bridge with JUST HIS FEET. It's true that these shows of cojones are dangerous and sometimes deadly, so while we're celebrating this instance of success, we must urge you not to try this yourself. Thanks to the videos below, you can enjoy the thrill (and some entertaining reactions) from home.

Dude's Dad Uses Legal Loophole To Speed For Years

Everyone loves a good loophole they can exploit for years. While speeding is an inadvisable thing to do, this dude was able to navigate a legal gray area that allowed him to avoid getting a ticket for half a decade. Who knows if he saved enough time speeding to make up for all the time he spent in court, but still, it's an intriguing misuse of the law. For another amazing loophole, there's this person who made a mockery of a robotics competition
