People Expose The Weird Things That Probably Only Happen In Their Countries

One of the most exciting parts of the internet is how we are able to easily meet and connect with people all over the world. It's so interesting to compare cultures with real people, rather than just basing our expectations on movies and books. Hearing from a real person is definitely the way to go. Plus they can share all the weird sh*t that they have in their country, and it's usually not the kind of stuff you'll see in a TV show. If you think your country is weird, maybe this thread will make you realize, really, all countries are weird.

Tumblr Thread: Pokémon's Ash Ketchum Is A Jacked Beast

There are many brilliant and wandering minds in the Tumblr community that love to dive deep into aspects of the Pokémon universe that we'd otherwise overlook. It could be an enlightening thread about how Pokémon's probability system is utter madness. Or, perhaps it's a fun Tumblr thread where Pokémon are drawn to actual scale. In this case though, we have an astute observation from a Tumblr user who questions why someone like Mewtwo would even bother blocking Ash's fisticuffs. Pretty much Ash has been packing creatine somewhere in that backpack next to the hyper potions and Sitrus berries.

A funny and enlightening Tumblr post spotlights Ash Ketchum's insane strength.

18 Times Overthinking & Anxiety Saved The Day

If you're a natural overthinker whose anxiety borders on obsession, you've probably been the subject of ridicule among reckless loved ones who treat life like it's a damn toy. Well get ready for some major validation, because this thread of worrywarts is full of stories about all the times being an anxious overthinker actually paid off. Of course, we're not encouraging irrational 'what-if' thoughts that stem from anxiety, we just think that sometimes it's okay to trust your instincts, even when everyone around you thinks you're being ridiculous.

Informative Tumblr Post On Proper Texting Etiquette With Blind People

So well, apparently, emojis can be a blind person's waking nightmare due to the "read text" function. Apparently, the phone describes each emoji in detail. This can make for quite the time-consuming process. Hopefully folks read this, and spare future conversations from the pains of emojis being vividly described. Check out some more terrific Tumblr gems to keep things tumblin, over here

Woman Reveals The Double-Standard Behind How We View Violence By Women Vs. By Men

You have probably heard this at least once before, but men and women get treated quite differently. I think it's called inequality? I don't know, it's so embedded into our culture it's hard to even recognize it sometimes.

Seriously, you can see the inequality in almost every context. It's the kind of thing where, once somebody points it out to you, you can't go back to ignoring it. This woman shared on Tumblr how it is especially apparent in the media.

Regrettable and Rewarding Things People Did Out of FOMO

Fear of missing out, also known as FOMO, can manifest itself as a sort of modified peer pressure or loss/risk assessment and make us do things we normally wouldn't want to. Sometimes that's for the better, like making us step out of our comfort zones and go skydiving or something. Other times it can end in eating a whole bunch of ants.

Umm, gotta catch 'em all anyone? The Hercules Beetle happens to be one of the largest bugs out there, and is a species of the Rhinoceros Beetle. I'm gonna guess that you need at least a Great Ball, maybe an Ultra Ball to catch this homie and add him to your pack.

Deceivingly Inappropriate Designs Which Might Require A Second Look

Okay, it is seriously getting really difficult to understand whether marketers are just incorporating sex into their every project, or we are all just way too quick to see erotic things in totally innocent objects. Can someone please come up with a decent explanation? I'm really starting to believe it's the former. So many of these photos just seem way too real. And I believe marketers do it on purpose. Yes, sex sells, but where is the line?

If you see some dirty images too, just remember it's not you, it's the world.

Things People Did Before They Were Cool

Almost everyone has a story of seeing some now-legendary band for 5 bucks, or can claim to be the first person to invent a now-popular sandwich. If anything it's the people who got into bitcoin early on accident that we all envy the most. At least we can all be forward thinkers in our own minds. It's fun to be on the leading edge of good things before they get ruined by money and popularity, but there's just as much a chance that a huge trend will quickly become something no one talks about anymore.

Secrets McDonald's Employees Discovered While Working There

This enlightening AskReddit thread has McDonald's employees revealing various secrets they learned while working at the infamous fast food restaurant. If anything, it's surprising that things aren't grosser. Also, that idea about throwing an apple pie in a plain McFlurry and blending the two together sounds like pure genius.

Dog Optical Illusions Which Don't Appear Right At First Glance

Optical illusions happen when our eyes try to play tricks on our brain... or is our actually when our brain plays tricks on our eyes? Either way, it always interesting when we have to take a double-take because we think we may have seen something impossible. Could it really be a dog with two heads? Or two identical pups? If you're like me, you'll be pleased by either outcome.

Back in 2012, London-based artist and taxidermist Adele Morse received a fox that met its end in a bear trap, left to fade away into the forest floor before it was packed in a box and shipped to her door. Giving it a new take on life, Morse decided to use the fox while honing her craft but found its mangled carcass less than ideal and troublesome to work with. Nevertheless, she did come up with something, although even she admitted it was a face only a mother could love, and thus the Stoned Fox was born.

Sitting in obscurity before being auctioned off online, Morse's creation would send her on a whirlwind journey of insane events no one could've predicted, from death threats to Russian media attention that almost labeled her as a spy from MI5. To hear this enthralling tale, we caught up with her to dig into the full backstory of the Stoned Fox meme, as well as what she's currently up to.

Perspective-Bending Images of Double-Takery

When it comes to warped perspective, not all things are exactly as they seem. What looks like an area rug could be a massive sinkhole. What looks like a vast landscape could just be a puddle. Every once in a while you run into what looks like a dog with a human butt. If that's not double-take-worthy, then nothing is.

People Discuss Things That Bring Out The Worst In Others

We've all seen it happen—someone perfectly sweet and lovely turns into an absolute monster when they're suddenly in a situation that brings out the worst in them, like being hangry, or air travel, or being stuck in traffic when they're already late to work. Redditor u/666FuCkThEwOrLd666 prompted r/AskReddit to discuss these common triggers that turn humans into maniacs, and the responses are pretty spot on.
